What should I expect on my first visit to The California Health Institute?
During your first visit, an in-depth evaluation of your condition will take place. A history of your condition, which may include questions about how it occurred, aggravating factors, type of sensations, activity levels, eating and digestion patterns, sleep habits, and stress. A physical examination will be performed to provide additional clues to the cause of the condition. If necessary, additional diagnostic testing may be ordered. The first visit is approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Based on the history, examination and/or other diagnostic tests, a personalized treatment plan is implemented. Treatments usually include three to five therapies and last approximately 60 minutes per session.
The ultimate goal is to give you the tools to become independent of the office; feel confident and capable to perform the therapies at home; and to make necessary lifestyle changes, thereby enjoying life more fully and reducing the chance of a reoccurrence.
